Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Position Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct resident care and supports daily living activities to promote dignity, comfort, and well-being. CNAs work closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care for each resident.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility, and transfers)

  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

  • Take and record vital signs, weights, and other health data as directed

  • Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

  • Support restorative and rehabilitative care practices as instructed

  • Respect residents’ rights, dignity, and privacy at all times

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and compassionate care delivery

Qualifications:

  • Active CNA certification in Minnesota

  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to follow care plans, policies, and instructions accurately

  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays as scheduled

Valley View Manor is currently looking for a PCA looking to be on the fast track to working as a CNA! FAST TRACK OPTIONS: Track 1 : TEST OUT OPTION Many PCAs have the basic knowledge and experience to become a CNA quickly through testing out the written and skills tests needed for their CNA certification. We will provide the CNA Handbook & Skills Handbook needed to study before testing out. We will provide a Q&A with our team to ask any questions before testing out. We will pay for the CNA test upfront once the test is passed. Newly certified CNAs will be able to start immediately facility. Track 2: WORK WHILE YOU LEARN The Facility will assist PCAs with signing up and paying for a local CNA course. While taking the course, PCAs will be able to work in a CNA role for up to FOUR months while they finish the course and test out.
