CNA Responsibilities

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Axiom Healthcare of West Frankfort, you will:

Provide direct resident care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, mobility, and feeding
Help residents transfer, reposition, and ambulate safely using appropriate equipment
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to licensed nursing staff
Support residents’ emotional and social well-being by engaging them in activities and conversation
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Follow HIPAA guidelines and infection control protocols
Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team

CNA Requirements

Current Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents with appropriate equipment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate attitude and dedication to quality resident care
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
