About the Position:

We are currently hiring a dedicated RN/LPN to provide private duty, one-on-one care for a wonderful 18-year-old male child in the Whitney area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive home environment with a kind and appreciative family.

Responsibilities Include:

Assisting with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for the child
G-tube care & feedings
Providing support with hygiene, feeding, mobility, and comfort
Maintaining clear communication with the care team and family

Schedule:

During school days: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
During school breaks & Weekends: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Qualifications:

Current RN or LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania
Pediatric & G-tube experience
CPR certification (preferred)
Reliable, compassionate, and patient-centered
Reliable transportation

Job Description Position Summary: Under supervision of Registered Nurse, assist physician with duties necessary to support the needs of the practice working within and to the maximum scope of license. Education, License & Cert: Must be a graduate of a licensed practical nursing program. Must possess a current temporary practice permit (PA) or limited permit (NY) based on the state of practice. BLS Certification High School Grad or Equivalent Experience: Previous Experience In Healthcare Preferred But Not Required Essential Functions: Directs patient to exam room and prepares patient for exam or treatment by identifying height, weight, respirations, blood pressure, temperature, additional testing, and records same on chart. Will also interview patient to obtain history allergies, reconciles medication list and records on chart as requested. Write or call Rx after obtaining surgeon/provider authorization for all department surgeons/providers as needed. Chart as written in patient's chart. Email, fax or call in any insurance referrals. Follow up phone call with referral number to specialist if requested. Assists in smooth departmental operation by filling in for other LPNs, clinical assistant and MOA's as requested. Answers telephone and performs other clerical functions as necessary (screen calls according to urgency and need). Must train and maintain proficiency in the use of computer equipment and other computer program training as requested.
