Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs. Demonstrated abilities in customer service, interpersonal communication, and teamwork. Skillful and professional interaction with coworkers, residents, family members, agencies, and the public. Understanding and consistent adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. Successful completion of background check, health exams, and other pre-employment criteria. Sufficient English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) for effective job performance. Evaluate resident care needs and determine required level of care. Update resident charts and assessments and support plans as needed. Monitor and maintain records of immunizations requirements for associates and residents. Monitor and Manage medication administration program, including frequent audits of medication records. Order medications from pharmacy and maintain records while also ensuring that medications are properly stored. Observe residents' health status and take actions to address concerns within scope of practice. Observe, record, and notify Executive Director, physician, family, and pharmacist of significant changes to residents' condition and reactions to medication, treatments, and significant incidents. Maintain all health equipment for safe and proper function. Review and implement incident reports; evaluate for need of intervention to minimize risk of further occurrences. Ensure that all new associates receive general and specific job training. Continually assess resident needs in relation to associate training needs to determine priorities in designing an ongoing orientation program. Track and ensure regulatory training requirements are met for associates annually. Incorporate State requirements during in-service training and orientation. Supervise and evaluate abilities of personal care associates. Maintain professional accountability for personal nursing practice and care delegated to non-licensed associates. Added Responsibilities Respond appropriately to changes in the work setting. Be familiar with Oxford Health Services Policies & Procedures Manual and Oxford Associate Handbook and Nurse Practice Act in the state of licensure and practice. Perform other related assignments as required. Attend required in-service training. Be willing and able to work in any facility care position. Interview and evaluate job applicants. Accountabilities: Act on constructive feedback by listening to supervisor(s), customers and peers and use it to improve performance. Maintain resident, employee, and community confidentiality; abide by HIPAA law as required. Uphold and advocate for all Resident's Rights. Demonstrate positive attitude and ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly. Promote positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork. Demonstrate willingness to help other staff whenever needed. Observe standard precaution procedures and all safe workplace measures. Report any suspected or observed abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property or funds of a resident to the appropriate licensing agencies. Operate department within budget. Qualifications: This position requires the applicant to be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) with an unencumbered license to practice nursing within the state of California. A minimum of one year of experience in assisted living or skilled nursing required. Must possess valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
