Experience Required

  • Responsible for setting up the patient in the exam room. 
  • Perform and Document:
    • Vital signs (manual BPs),
    •  EKGs,
    •  Reconciliation of medications
    • Reason for visit, health care concern
  • Interview/Discuss with patient changes in patient’s health since the last visit
  • Assist the provider with minor surgical procedures.
  • Prepare appropriate medications for injections.
  • Responsible for phone messages, faxes, and Medical Reception responsibilities as needed.
  • Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, computer skills for scheduling, and familiarity with general office procedures and equipment.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Certificate Medical Assistant
  • BLS Certification

License/Certification Requirements

  • Certificate Medical Assistant
  • BLS Certification

Special Requirements

  • Ability to handle high volume of interactions with frequent interruptions required.
  • 1-3 years of prior experience in ambulatory care preferred.

Short Description RECRUITING CANDIDATES FROM SALEM, PENNSVILLE AND WOODSTOWN Under the direction of the manager of clinic operations, functions as a supervisor to clinical staff capable of preparing evaluations and providing input on performance and administering evaluations. In addition, brings disciplinary items to the manager. Provides medical assistant support to the providers if there is a staffing need. At all times ensures a high level of customer service by providing patient confidentiality and care in accordance with the Patient’s Bill of Rights. All incumbents must have satisfactorily completed a Cooper IDX training program to include: Registration, Scheduling, E-Commerce and FSC. Annual eligibility certification required. Excellent customer service skills; Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and health care team members.
