Overview Kelemen 10 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients who have various needs and disease processes. Both North and South 10 have Telemetry capabilities for our patients. Each side houses 36 patients to a maximum of 72 patients. South 10 has a 12-bed Intermediate Care Unit embedded within the 36-bed unit. INCU has critically care-trained RNs who support the patient's needs and care for ventilated patients. South 10 also has 2 negative pressure isolation rooms with an anti-room that is used when needed for specific isolation needs. We do multidisciplinary rounds Monday – Friday. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities. We have a pharmacist who has an office on the unit to assist the RNs when needed to help avoid delay of care to any patient. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse). Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support). Overview Pavilion 8, an Intermediate surgical and medical surgical unit with 30 single rooms and the capacity to be a complete intermediate unit, is genuinely committed to providing extraordinary patient care. Our surgical services include ENT, Vascular, Plastic Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Surgical oncology, and Urology. Our leadership structure, comprised of a clinical director, an assistant clinical director, clinical nurse managers, and a clinical educator, is dedicated to supporting our staff and patient safety. Pavilion 8 is supported by our unit secretaries, critical care technicians, and registered nurses seven days a week. We work towards having all of our nurses’ cross-trained in surgical intermediate within the first year at Cooper. Pavilion-8 fosters a close relationship with our providers, as our APN’s and Surgical Residents are easily accessible for support, questions, and directions with patient care. They have offices right here on the unit, along with our leadership team and our transitional care team. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. This position will delegate care to the ED care teams and assign patients, ensuring that workload is balanced and delegates tasks appropriately, employing resources as needed to assure quality and efficient care. Ensures the delivery of patient care through the coordination of customer services and the leadership and management of the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit at the direction of the Clinical Director.This position assists the Clinical Director in coordinating interdepartmental and ancillary activities to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care. Assists the Clinical Director in leading the patient care team to meet the needs of the customers and to achieve departmental objectives.Assumes responsibility and accountability for the direction and implementation of patient care services within the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit at the direction of the Clinical Director and in their absence. Experience Required A minimum of 2 years of clinical RN experience in an Emergency Department, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities. Education Requirements Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s in Nursing or active pursuit preferred. Overview Cooper’s Neuroscience Unit is a 16-bed ICU paired with a state-of-the-art Neuro Interventional Suite, that together form an integral part of Cooper Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our nurses provide expert neurological care in both settings to ensure seamless continuity of care for our patients across a wide range of neurological diagnoses. With the most advanced technology and providers, Cooper expands its capabilities to care for neurological patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The healthcare professionals take tremendous pride in teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, we provide outreach to bring stroke and neurological education to improve community health. Experience Required A minimum of two years of acute care RN experience in an inpatient setting is required. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing License/Certification Requirements C urrent NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse) Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers) Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS) Special Requirements Per Diem, 7pm-7am, rotating holidays and weekends Nurses shall work at least two (2) weekend shifts per six week schedule and one (1) other shift per 6 week schedule. In addition, two (2) holiday shifts per year (one winter and one summer). Weekend shifts are defined as one Friday/one Saturday or one Saturday/one Sunday for night shift and one Saturday/one Sunday for day shift. Nurses must schedule themselves for the full shift, as assigned, in order to meet these work requirements.
