Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation and documentation of patient care. The RN selects and administers the appropriate nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of North Canyon Medical Center, as well as the scope of practice as set by the Idaho Board of Nursing taking into consideration the age, developmental level, and size of the patient. Provides a compassionate relationship that facilitates health and healing. The RN also coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed. The RN may also act in the capacity of charge nurse and is responsible for assignment of patients, oversight of other licensed nursing professionals and unlicensed staff members. The RN monitors, evaluates and takes action on patient care issues, workload assignments, and collaboration with other health care providers both intra-facility and inter-facility as well as outside agencies and resources

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice nursing in Idaho.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Obtain ACLS, PALS within one year of hire. ENPC and TNCC recommended.
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain clinical competency as required for the unit/area(s) of assignment.
  • Excellent communication skills to include oral comprehension/expression and written comprehension/expression.
