Duties
  • Completes assessment/reassessment of patient and documents in medical record.
  • Analyzes the information collected to determine patient’s needs and expected outcomes.
  • Develops and implements plan of care based upon the assessment, diagnosis, and expected outcomes of patient.
  • Oversees the delegation of the plan to other licensed and unlicensed personnel.
  • Ensures a discharge plan is a part of the individualized plan of care as appropriate to the population served.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of school of nursing
  • Licensed in State of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location. If operating a motor vehicle for business purposes, must have a valid driver’s license. BLS certification required within 90 days from start date
  • One year nursing experience preferred.

Overview The Nursing Supervisor has 24/7 Administrative and Operational responsibility for the organization. They perform under the authority of executive leadership. Operationally, they are responsible for patient safety, quality, staff education and service excellence. The Nursing Supervisor is a fiscal steward for the organization collaborating with nursing and ancillary leaders in problem solving staffing roles and responsibilities. The Nursing Supervisor is able to cover nurse staffing in ICU, ED and Med/Surg. Responsibilities 24/7 operational and administrative oversight for the organization. The Nursing Supervisor acts independently in the absence of leadership and collaborates with the Administrator on Call, Nursing and Ancillary leaders as appropriate. Knows hospital strategic plan and aligns resources and objectives to achieve. Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires respect and trust.
