Physician - Gastroenterology Inpatient Hospitalist - minimal afterhours, ERCP required

Gastroenterology Inpatient Hospitalist

Benefis Health System is looking to add an inpatient gastroenterologist to an established GI hospitalist practice in Great Falls, Montana in a full time or part time role. The practice serves 80,000 Great Falls residents as well as 275,000 residents across north central Montana.

Currently, we employ 7 gastroenterologists (FTE and per diem), 1 inpatient PA-C, and 3 outpatient advanced practice providers. Applicants must be board eligible/certified.  ERCP is required.

Endoscopy:

  • Brand new beautiful 22,000 SF Endoscopy space in the hospital with Olympus equipment. 8 huge endoscopy suites and 24 pre op/post op bays designed as an ambulatory surgical center. All patients are managed within the unit with occasional procedures in the OR (based on BMI)

  • Experienced and helpful staff of RNs and techs, dedicated anesthesia services and dedicated GI Hospitalist suite

  • Procedures include but are not limited to: ERCP, Barryx, Spyglass, colonoscopies, EGDs, flexible sigmoidoscopies, PEG tube placements and EUS

Position Information:

  • Average of 6 cases per day (range of about 2-9) and an average of 6-7 ERCP cases per stretch

  • Experienced PA-C to help with consults and rounding

  • Dedicated M-F block to complete urgent/emergent procedures with assigned anesthesia and dedicated Sunday block from 7:00 am – 12:00 pm, working with endoscopy staff to complete weekend cases

  • Hospital employed, full time = 146 shifts annually or part time = 73 shifts annually (7-14 shifts each stretch based on preference) flexible scheduling to accommodate lifestyle desire

  • Gastroenterology call is covered by GI Hospitalists, allowing our traditional practicing physicians the ability to have high volume general practices. The GI hospitalist is typically in house from approximately 7 am – 3 pm on weekdays, does rounds on Saturday and procedures on Sunday in a dedicated block from 7:00 am – 12:00 pm with endoscopy staff and anesthesia to reduce the use of main OR over the weekend. While this position does take 24 hour call, they are not typically called after hours and rarely come in late night or overnight for emergencies

  • Additional opportunity for outpatient lab time during off stretch is available but not required

MAT Nurse Practitioner

Overview NaphCare is hiring a MAT Nurse Practitioner to join team of medical professionals in the Wayne County Jail in Detroit, Michigan. As a MAT Nurse Practitioner , you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide support to the patients within the facility struggling with substance abuse. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex needs. Responsibilities The MAT Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality care that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to: Provide comprehensive Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services for incarcerated individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), with a primary focus on buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone). Conduct initial and ongoing clinical assessments for OUD, including substance use history, withdrawal evaluation, psychiatric and medical comorbidities, and readiness for treatment. Initiate, continue, adjust, and monitor Suboxone therapy in accordance with evidence-based guidelines, DEA regulations, and correctional health policies. Manage induction, stabilization, maintenance, and tapering phases of MAT as clinically indicated. Collaborate closely with correctional healthcare staff, custody staff, mental health providers, and substance use counselors to ensure coordinated, safe, and effective care. Monitor patient adherence, response to treatment, and potential diversion risks within a correctional setting. Provide patient education on OUD, MAT, relapse prevention, overdose risk, and continuity of care upon release. Participate collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans that address medical, behavioral health, and social determinants of health. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record, including MAT-specific reporting and regulatory requirements. Participate in discharge planning and continuity-of-care coordination, including referrals to community-based MAT providers upon release. Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations related to controlled substances, MAT delivery, and correctional healthcare standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and program development related to OUD and MAT services. Stay current with evolving best practices, clinical guidelines, and regulatory changes related to OUD treatment and MAT. Qualifications Education / Experience / Requirements Advanced nursing education (Master's or Doctorate) MAT/OUD treatment experience required CARN-AP preferred Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner state of Michigan. Current DEA registration An appropriate collaborative agreement with the on-site Physician Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred) Be certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services. Maintains BLS and ACLS Certifications. Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse.
