Material Support Lead

Purpose of Position:

Ensure receipt, storage and distribution of all materials delivered to the materials management Department by various vendors, prepare shipments for delivery to the village clinics and outbound return and repair shipments to vendors, assist with segregating daily shipments for in and out processing, maintain assigned area through daily cleanup and keeping the area safe and organized and provide operator level maintenance for one truck and forklift.

Essential Functions:

  • Pick up suppies from airport and annex and deliver Fed Ex and overnight packages, process damaged freight, equipment needing repair, items to villages and returned goods and receive personal packages for new NSHC personnel and ensure accurate signatures are acquired on pick up
  • Receive and inventory supplies and materials from vendors, deliver stock to departments as required, ensuring signatures are obtained on receiving documents
  • Maintain all material handling files in accordance with department procedures and tag, document and maintain file on all equipment
  • Maintain all equipment in readiness for safe and efficient operation
  • Assist staff with departments in moving equipment and supplies 
  • Assist in organization and maintenance of storage building, disposing of obsolete items as appropriate, maintain secuirty, order and cleanliness of assigned areas
  • Train new staff members
  • Fill in as backup Patient Driver as needed
  • Fill in as Mail Clerk as needed
  • Delivery of daily Pharmacy shipments for village clinic restock
  • Perform other duties as assigned
