JOB HIGHLIGHTS--Licensed Practical Nurse part time

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the nursing team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). You will support clinical services such as resident medication management, service planning and supervising the nursing staff. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by ensuring they receive excellent direct care.

Responsibilities--Licensed Practical Nurse part time

  • Supervising and training the nursing staff to ensure quality of care
  • Verifying the proper distribution and required documentation of medication, treatments and orders
  • Participating in regular resident assessments and service planning, and following up with ancillary health care services as needed
  • Assisting with the move-in and move-out process including tours, orientation, evaluations, and family communications
  • Providing direct care when needed, such as during health emergencies or during on-call rotation
  • Relaying resident concerns or changes to the appropriate department manager
  • Communicating effectively with residents and staff
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines

Bonus opportunities--Licensed Practical Nurse part time

  • Perfect attendance bonus—$75 for full-time (up to a $1,950 annual benefit) and $35 for part-time (up to a $910 annual benefit)

Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse will focus on providing high level patient-centered care in a physician office setting by measuring and recording vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, preparing patients for exams/procedures, assisting the health care provider with exams/procedures, providing patient support during exams, maintaining medical supply inventory, and stocking exam rooms. The LPN will also provide patient care by administering medications, processing patient phone calls per practice protocols, instructing patients regarding health care and treatments, and providing health care provider with information pertaining to patients� health status. May be required to float to other UFHP practices, as needed, for staffing. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Licensed LPN eligible to practice in the State of Florida. One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred. Person should display initiative and have the ability to multitask. Outstanding patient/customer service skills, verbal clarity, team focus, and problem-solving skills are required for the ideal candidate. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Licensed LPN eligible to practice in the State of Florida. Florida is part of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) Act. AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (CPR) is required or must be obtained within first 90 days of employment.
