What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensures excellent nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
  • Utilizes the nursing process and caring model in delivery of patient care.
  • Educates patients and family.
  • Promotes patient satisfaction.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Includes standing, walking, pushing wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, lifting patient, occasionally must stoop, reach above head, carry medium to light equipment.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS:  Exposure to communicable diseases,blood and blood products, illness, confused and/or comb ative patients, hazardous chemicals, stressful situations, xrays, fluorscopy, sharp instruments, needles, and electricity.

     

    REPORTS TO: Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator, Charge Nurse or designee

     

    CONTACTS: Patients, Patient’s Family, Visitors, Physicians, Staff and other departmental personnel.

     

    SUPERVISES: Licensed Practical Nurse, Patient Care Partner, and other team members.

    What We're Looking For

    EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

     

    EXPERIENCE: Previous experience preferred

     

    LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS:   Current license to practice professional

    nursing in New Jersey. Completes I.V. certification course as per

    Hospital policy. Completes CPR certification course as per Hospital

    Policy.
