Willow Valley Communities (WVC) is looking for a Culinary Services Assistant General Manager to help lead exceptional dining experiences for our Residents while inspiring and developing a high‑performing team.

In this key leadership role, you’ll partner closely with the General Manager to ensure daily operations run seamlessly, service standards remain exceptional, and our dining venues continue to exceed expectations. What You’ll Be Responsible For

As the Culinary Services Assistant General Manager, you will:

  • Lead, train, schedule, and support service staff to deliver a consistently high level of customer service
  • Open and close operations and balance cash drawers when applicable
  • Manage administrative tasks including payroll, tip allocation, PTO processing, and invoice approvals
  • Maintain and utilize point‑of‑sale systems effectively
  • Address resident and guest questions or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, food sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • Plan and execute special events and resident catering functions
  • Create and promote engaging dining initiatives for our resident community
  • Monitor budgets and help control costs to support efficient operations
  • Educate and coach team members on all WVC food safety and sanitation policies
  • Provide oversight as needed for the Clubhouse Café and Ice Cream Parlor (LT)

Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversee all front‑of‑house operations and service standards
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop service Team Members
  • Assign work, evaluate performance, recognize success, and resolve issues
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and service‑focused Team culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or 3–5 years of relevant restaurant or hospitality experience
  • Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a restaurant or dining environment
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and positively influence others
  • Professional appearance and a consistently positive attitude

Schedule & Hours

  • 40 hours per week
  • Wednesday–Sunday | 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Includes some holidays
