Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on skills. Required
1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 120 Days
One of the following Required within 120 Days
- AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)

Sign-On Bonus for External applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students only About the Practice This practice has a current staff of 3 RN’s / 1 LPN surgery scheduler / 4 MA’s /4 Receptionists who work as a team to support 1 Physician Assistant, 1 Nurse Practitioner and 4 Physicians who see patients in the office, cover On Call shifts at the Birthing Center and do Surgery at Big Rapids Hospital. This is a fast-paced practice with staff who work very well together. We average 50 to 80 patients a day in the office. We perform many in office procedures including IUD’s, Immunizations, Ultrasound to name a few.
