Job Summary:

MaineGeneral Health’s Alzheimer’s Care Center in Gardiner provides compassionate, specialized care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant / Certified Residential Medication Aide (CNA/CRMA) to join our dedicated team and make a difference every day.

Job Description:

Position: Certified Nursing Assistant / Certified Residential Medication Aide (CNA/CRMA)

Location: Alzheimer's Care Center, Gardiner
Schedule: Part-time (32 hours/week)

Shift: Nights

What You'll Do:

Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs
Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested
Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff
Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly
Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities and administers medications
Distributes medications to residents per physician orders and completes required documentation
Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff
Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN

What We’re Looking For

Active Maine CNA certification.
Active Maine CRMA certification.
Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to work with residents living with memory loss.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
