Geriatric Nursing Assistant Position Summary

The position of Geriatric Nursing Assistant provides routine nursing and personal care for residents to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times. This position must work effectively with team members in ensuring that work is accomplished, and quality care is delivered while supporting their team members and celebrating team successes. While focusing on delivering quality resident care, the position must also manage the resources that are available to them in their job.

State of Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant Certification.
American Heart Association CPR certification.

GRADE ASTD11 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Deer's Head Hospital Center, Salisbury, MD Main Purpose of Job Under the designated authority of a nurse, this position aids in the care, treatment, habilitation, or rehabilitation of aged and physically ill patients/residents. This position performs the full range of duties and responsibilities under general supervision. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: One year of experience as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant in any type of healthcare delivery setting.
