Responsibilities

The ideal Rheumatology APP is a collaborative, patient-centered clinician with a strong interest in longitudinal care and the management of complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. This individual thrives in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment and partners closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality, comprehensive care.


Key attributes include strong clinical reasoning skills, comfort managing patients with chronic and multisystem disease, and an ability to build long-term therapeutic relationships. The successful candidate demonstrates excellent communication, professionalism, and adaptability, with a commitment to continuity of care, patient education, and evidence-based practice. Experience or interest in caring for patients with complex immunologic conditions, disease-modifying therapies, and evolving treatment paradigms is highly valued.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP.  


Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.  


Additional Qualifications: 
Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
