What You'll Do

The Neurosurgery NP/PA will work collaboratively with the surgical team to provide comprehensive pre-surgery assessments, postoperative visits, patient education, and surgical planning ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

Preference of Med-Surg or ICU experience as well as 1-2 years of clinic experience.

Schedule: Full Time | Some call

Requirements

Current Missouri Advanced Practice Nurse licensure as a Nurse Practitioner according to MO State Board of Nursing.

Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.

OR

Current Missouri Physician Assistant license.

Graduate of Physician assistant program accredited by the committee on Allied Health, education and accreditation of the American Medical Association.

Advanced Cardiac Therapies (ACT) / Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Position Summary We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a hybrid role across the Advanced Cardiac Therapies (ACT) Team and the Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU). This position supports the care of pediatric and adult patients with cardiomyopathy, heart failure, congenital heart disease, arrhythmias, and pre- and post-transplant needs across inpatient and outpatient settings. Key Responsibilities for both ACT and ACCU: • Partner with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, staff nurses, administrative support staff, and multidisciplinary team members across inpatient units, Cardiac ICU, cardiac catheterization suite, and outpatient clinic. • Responsibilities include inpatient rounds, team meetings, documentation, prescriptions, prior authorizations, referrals, education, and discharge planning. • Provide care for pediatric and adult patients with cardiac conditions including congenital heart disease, arrhythmia, heart failure, pre and post procedures and all phases of heart transplant management • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. • Work collaboratively in a family-centered environment. • Support complex discharge planning and transitions of care. ACT: • Support longitudinal care coordination, including frequent communication with patients and families for home care needs, clinic sessions, billing, and regulatory requirements. • Opportunity for cross coverage of lung transplant patients. ACCU: • Coordinate care for patients admitted for cardiac and non-cardiac medical issues in collaboration with consulting services.
