Health High School School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Anderson, South Carolina

Take on a rewarding opportunity to support high school students as a contract RN nurse in the Anderson, SC area from February 19th through May 21st. In this impactful role, you'll work directly in a classroom setting, providing dedicated medical care and monitoring for two students—one ambulatory and one using a wheelchair. This is an ideal position for a compassionate registered nurse who excels at individualized attention while adapting to the dynamic environment of a high school.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Active and valid RN license required
• Experience delivering care in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• G-tube and ventilator care experience highly desirable
• Ability to provide effective support to students with varying medical needs
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Professional certification as a school nurse (preferred but not required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care for two high school students in a classroom environment
• Manage and administer g-tube feeds and ventilator care as needed
• Collaborate closely with educators, aides, and families to ensure individualized plans of care
• Monitor and assess students' health status throughout the school day, responding promptly to medical needs or emergencies
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates to appropriate school personnel and families
• Promote a safe and welcoming atmosphere for students with mobility and other health challenges
