Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Active and valid RN license required
  • Experience delivering care in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • G-tube and ventilator care experience highly desirable

  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Professional certification as a school nurse (preferred but not required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care for two high school students in a classroom environment
  • Manage and administer g-tube feeds and ventilator care as needed
  • Collaborate closely with educators, aides, and families to ensure individualized plans of care
  • Monitor and assess students' health status throughout the school day, responding promptly to medical needs or emergencies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates to appropriate school personnel and families

This position offers the opportunity to provide essential nursing care in a high school setting with a strong focus on one-on-one support. The role involves working closely with a cognitively high-functioning student who is paralyzed, requiring skilled care and compassion throughout the school week, except Wednesdays.
