High School Certified Registered Nurse School Setting in Greenville, SC

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working within a high school setting in the Anderson, SC area from February 19th through May 21st. In this role, you’ll provide direct, compassionate care as a classroom nurse for two students—one of whom uses a wheelchair. Both students rely on a caring and skilled RN to support their health needs throughout the school day.

Your nursing expertise will ensure these students’ well-being, safety, and inclusion, assisting with daily medical care, monitoring for changes, and collaborating closely with teachers and support staff. Experience with g-tube feeding and ventilator support is strongly preferred, as is previous work in an educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license required
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Certified in CPR and basic life support (BLS)
  • Knowledge of g-tube and ventilator care strongly desired
  • Strong assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students with complex medical needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on care to two high school students in a classroom environment
  • Monitor students’ health status throughout the day and respond to needs as they arise
  • Perform g-tube feedings and manage ventilator care (if needed)
  • Administer daily medications and treatments per care plans
