Job Details:

  • Flexible Shifts: 10-hour shifts (8:00am - 6:00pm or 10:00am - 8:00pm)

  • Work-Life Balance: You’ll be required to work 3-4 shifts per week , this would include the requirement of every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds an APP license in the state of NC

  • Has 2+ years of APP experience in either of the following settings: Emergency, urgent care, internal medicine or family medicine.

  • BLS certified .

  • Ready to represent the company with a company vehicle provided for your use and company provided liability and malpractice insurance .

What You'll Do

  • Work as part of a clinical care team to deliver care in the patient’s home through our innovative in-home care service lines.

  • This involves being in a mobile unit and driving a company vehicle to the place of service. 

  • Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose and treat complex illnesses. 

  • Provide therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care and minor procedures. 

  • Use critical thinking skills and follow evidence-based standards of practice.

  • Accurately and thoroughly document your patient encounter and ensure accuracy. 

  • Analyze test data to diagnose, treat and arrange appropriate follow up for the patient to ensure continuity of care. 

  • Educate patients and families on how to treat their acute illness and manage their health and well-being. 

  • Effectively navigate difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care. 

  • Communicate effectively with patients, family, the medical power of attorney, primary care provider and all individuals involved in the patient’s care.

What You Need

  • Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital, Family Practice, Cardiac, Pulmonary or other relevant areas

  • Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution 

  • Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant 

  • Nationally board certified, current 

  • Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred

  • Prescriptive authority and DEA 

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record  

  • Complete required drivers training upon hire 

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily while carrying equipment

  • Ability to work a varied schedule with evenings, holidays and weekends required

Neuro-Ophthalmology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Department of Ophthalmology | Academic Medical Center Position Overview The Neuro-Ophthalmology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will serve as an integral member of a multidisciplinary neuro-ophthalmology team within an academic medical center. This role supports the evaluation and management of complex neuro-ophthalmic conditions through a combination of independent clinical practice, procedural care, care coordination, and collaboration across specialties. The APP will work closely with neuro-ophthalmology faculty, residents, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care across both outpatient and inpatient settings. Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) - SOM Med Hematology (Per Diem)

UNC Division of Hematology is seeking a Per Diem Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our hematologic malignancies inpatient APP nocturnal team. This APP role provides NIGHT time patient care in the inpatient setting caring for patients within the bone marrow transplant program and the malignant hematology program under the division of Hematology. The work schedule includes 13 hours NIGHT shifts (1830-0730) rotating weekends and holidays. Summary: A Physician Assistant functions as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high quality, cost effective care to patients within the APPs scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician.
