Summary: The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care for a defined group of patients according to the hospital’s philosophy of patient care and standards of professional nursing practice. The registered nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for judgment and actions, maintains clinical competency and exercises informed judgment in delegating nursing care to others. The Registered Nurse promotes patient, family and staff learning. Must meet per diem requirements per CBA.
Education: Graduate of an accredited R.N. school of nursing.
Licensure: Maintain a current Rhode Island nursing license. BLS certification. ACLS certification (Department Specific). PALS certification (Department Specific).
Experience: One to two years of nursing experience preferred, previous experience in a hospital setting desired.
