School Registered Nurse | Blue Springs, Missouri

Step into a dynamic contract nursing role supporting students from PreK through 12th grade across multiple sites. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in school communities while managing health room operations and ensuring the well-being of students throughout the district.

Enjoy variety in your daily schedule as you float between schools, cover for field trips, and respond to evolving needs. After a comprehensive two-week training period, you'll take the lead as the primary RN at assigned locations, leveraging your clinical expertise and adaptability in a lively educational environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license in Missouri (verified on Nursys)
  • Recent pediatric experience in ICU, ER, or school settings (new graduates not considered)
  • Skilled in triaging and caring for students of all ages, PreK-12th grade
  • Comfortable working independently as the sole RN in a health room
  • Ability to multitask and efficiently use computerized charting systems
  • Flexible, adaptable, and dependable—capable of responding to same-day schedule changes
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical care, first aid, and assessments for students and staff, traveling between multiple sites as assigned
  • Lead health room operations and maintain accurate electronic health records
  • Accompany and support students and staff on school field trips as needed
  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies, illnesses, and injuries
  • Communicate promptly and professionally regarding daily assignments and any needs for schedule changes
  • Collaborate with school teams to promote a healthy, safe educational environment
