The BridgeWay is seeking a talented Registered Nurse to work for a TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT (duration is 14 weeks). This position is a NON_BENEFITS POSITION.

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, adults and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include: assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.

 

NOTE:  Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible for this position.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1.     Current license to practice nursing in the State of Arkansas.

2.     Current CPR/BLS and CPI certifications (offered onsite).

3.     Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+.

 

HOURS/SCHEDLE: This is a TEMPORARY 13-WEEK ASSIGNMENT. The first one week will be orientation. Then work (3) 12-hour shifts per week for a total of 12 weeks. Day shifts 6:30a-7p. Night shift is 6:30p-7a.

Overview 4 South is an 18-bed unit that specializes in orthopedics and neurosurgery.
