How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Direct daily CVOR operations by coordinating shift schedules, managing resources, and overseeing the workflow of surgical suites to ensure seamless cardiovascular procedures.
  • Lead the preparation of sterile and non-sterile environments; provide expert surgical assistance to surgeons, including instrument handling and active support with hemostasis.
  • Oversee and assist in the safe transport, positioning, and draping of patients while maintaining rigorous organization and meticulous tracking of instrument counts throughout the procedure.
  • Drive excellence within the surgical team by providing essential input on hiring, training, and performance evaluations, while directly mentoring staff in their professional development.
  • Ensure all surgical suits are fully equipped with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining high standards of readiness for complex cardiovascular cases.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

 

Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Red Cross or Heart Association accepted.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Certified Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Certified Surgical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Certified Surgical Tech obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
  • degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • 3+ years of specialized CVOR experience
