How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead daily operations as Cardiovascular Operating Room Supervisor, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and efficient CVOR workflow across surgical services.

• Supervise direct patient care in the CVOR, optimizing clinical quality, safety standards, and compliance for cardiovascular surgical procedures.

• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support seamless care coordination and positive surgical patient outcomes.

• Develop and mentor licensed surgical staff through training and performance management to strengthen team capability and elevate patient care delivery.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:
    • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Certified Registered Nurse specializing in First Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • 2 + years of circulating experience in the OR

Education Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required Experience 3 Years Experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e., charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor, supervisor) Required Emergency Experience Strongly Preferred 5 or more years of Nursing Experience Strongly Preferred Supervisory Or Managerial Experience Strongly Preferred Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in ED within 90 Days Required And ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support if working in ED within 90 Days Required And TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course if working in ED within 90 Days Required Skills Knowledge of industry standards:organization, theory, principles, and research processes, quality improvement and change management techniques, financial analysis, budget process and planning, accreditation and regulatory standards, strategic planning principles, ability to assess nursing care requirements based on nursing principles, scope of practice, and regulatory standards.
