REQUIREMENTS

Current NYS license as a Licensed Practical Nurse

High School Diploma and completion of an accredited practical nursing program

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in pediatric or community health nursing

DUTIES

Utilize nursing best practices to gather data, implement, and assist with evaluation of the health needs of students and staff.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with health care providers orders and parental written authorization based on established guidelines and District policy.
Follow communicable disease control procedures and inform and advise administration and/or parents regarding school exclusion and re-admission.
Provide care for student illness and accidents according to District policies and protocols. Complete accident and incident reports as required.
