CMA -Diabetes and Endocrinology - PRN - Harrisonburg location

Reports to Medical Office Manager. Accurately performs and documents assigned duties under the direction and supervision of the physician in accordance with the medical model of care as provided by the State Board of Nursing. Initiates implementation of processes and has access to all operational components of the office as required by daily operations. Access to operational components of a practice includes access to physician’s office, medical records, medical supplies and locked drug closets/refrigerators.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
  • Certification or registration thru Medical Assistant Association
  • CPR certified.
  • Previous physician office experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental requirements of a fast-paced physician practice
  • 1 year of experience

The Non-Certified Medical Assistant performs a combination of clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of a licensed provider. This role is intended as an interim position for team members who are actively pursuing a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure within a defined timeframe.
