Responsibilities of the CNA Educator include:

  • Design and Delivery of Clinical Education
    • Develop and facilitate clinical learning programs in both online and in-person formats. 
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and WesleyLife philosophies. 
  • Collaboration Across Teams
    • Work with Health Services, Clinical Excellence, and Organizational Learning to:  
    • Establish documentation and processes. 
    • Secure classrooms and equipment. 
    • Create auditing and tracking systems for ongoing program success. 
  • Evaluation of Program Effectiveness
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical training programs. 
    • Maintain and report on retention, completion, and other metrics to assess program impact. 
  • Managing Training Plans
    • Develop onboarding and orientation practices that meet annual training requirements. 
    • Oversee clinical training programs

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with 1 year of hands-on experience as an RN within a long-term-care setting
  • A valid Iowa RN licenses is required to be considered for this position.
  • Preferred - Certified in one of more of the following or able to obtain within 6 months of hire: MHFA, CPR / BLS Instructor Certification. 
  • Preferred - Completed Wound Care Certification, IV Certification, Certified Dementia Practitioner or other identified areas of clinical competency. 
      • Proficient in the use of learning development and delivery software (Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, etc.).
