Job Summary:

Delmar Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring their vital signs. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities, including delivering meals to patients, turning and ambulating patients

  • Help patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, shampoos, and showers

  • Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient's chart

  • Assist nurses and other staff as needed

  • Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures, and abide by federal, state, and local requirements, as well as Joint Commission standards

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Must be Delaware Certified CNA

  • Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training course

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively

  • Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy

  • High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
