Key Responsibilities of Director of Nursing (DON):

Plan, organize, and direct overall nursing department operations
Provide administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel
Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
Liaise with residents, families, and support departments to plan for resident needs

Qualifications for Director of Nursing (DON):

Current RN license in Nebraska
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a DON in a long-term care setting

Knowledge of long-term care regulations, practices, and procedures
