As a minimum, an unencumbered State of South Dakota Registered Nurse, RN license. Prior Registered Nurse, RN experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!

As a Registered Nurse, RN you are the backbone of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Huron by ensuring residents receive the medication and nursing care they need as directed by their individual care plan, conducting resident assessments, being a team leader, and advocating for your residents. Our patient population includes cardiac diagnoses such as heart failure, irregular cardiac rhythms and heart attacks. The unit is also the primary stroke unit in the hospital. Cardiac Telemetry is a fast-paced unit with a multitude of diagnoses to experience and gain great skills on! Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence‐ based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan.
