Job Description The pay range for this position is $39-54.12, Position Summary: The Perioperative Resource Nurse at The Guthrie Clinic Health System is designed to fill workforce gaps in high vacancy areas in the ORs. A Perioperative Resource Nurse may serve at either our Level 1 Trauma Center (Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital) or Guthrie Lourdes Hospital (197 bed multi specialty community hospital.) The incumbent will work in the services lines for which they have competencies. The Perioperative Resource Nurses provides a high-level of clinical nursing care to assigned patients, performing related assessments, procedures and treatments, evaluations, patient care plan development/revisions, and education to patient and/or family. The Perioperative Resource Nurse puts the patient first and ensures that high quality care is given to assigned patients by following policies, clinical guidelines, safety systems such as medication scanning and bed alarm use, timely and accurate documentation, core measure compliance and serving as a patient advocate. The RN – System Resource makes providing an exceptional patient/family experience high priority. Education, License & Cert: To be employed as an RN – Perioperative Resource Nurse, an individual must have at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, two years of recent experience in an acute care operating suite, and pass the NCLEX.
