Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the total care and safety of all residents and employees for assigned unit during shift
  • Supervises and assists all nursing personnel in their work performance when necessary
  • Performs duties of unit nurse if necessary
  • Document patient histories, administers medication and care as needed, coordinate necessary appointments
  • Monitor residents to ensure that the plans are being followed and that the resident’s and family needs are being met
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct all nursing staff on all shifts on the assigned units

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in New York State
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory/unit manager experience in a long-term health care setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Has knowledge of Federal and State health regulations
  • Experience with care plans and strong documentation skills
  • Flexibility in work hours
  • BLS Certification
  • RN License
