Your Role as a Night Shift RN Supervisor

In this leadership role, you’ll oversee overnight nursing operations and ensure residents receive safe, high-quality, and person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff during the night shift

  • Ensure compliance with resident care plans, policies, and regulatory standards

  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing team members

  • Collaborate with the DON and Unit Managers on staffing, workflow, and resident care priorities

  • Provide direct resident care as needed to maintain clinical excellence

  • Monitor resident conditions and care plans, ensuring timely interventions

  • Ensure infection control and safety practices are followed

  • Accurately document incidents, changes in condition, and shift activities in PointClickCare

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and resident-centered care environment
