Job Duties:
Supervise weekend professional and non-professional staff in the day-to-day delivery of Resident Care.
Orientate new staff, and participate in recruitment and selection of nursing staff, communicate policies, assist and coach as needed. Monitor work assignments, provide feedback, evaluate performance and redirect and discipline as needed.
Maintains quality clinical care for residents/patients in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Facility.
Plan and deliver care to patients requiring long-term or rehabilitative care. These duties will be performed in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Manage facility unit through experienced leadership and communication with the Director of Nursing overseeing staff and patient care
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician; in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
Sign, date and perform all charting and record keeping in accordance with established policies and procedures
Participate in in-service training, assist in implementing orientation programs and job skills training, maintains professional competence
Ensure all employees are required to adhere to all HIPPA regulations
