River Hills Health and Rehab is seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our clinical team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring residents receive medications safely and timely while providing excellent resident care.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications as ordered by the physician and within scope of practice
  • Accurately document medication administration in accordance with facility policy
  • Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns to the licensed nurse
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
  • Ensure proper medication storage, handling, and documentation
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered care at all times
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in Texas required
  • Active CNA certification in good standing preferred (or required, depending on your facility)
  • Previous experience in long-term care preferred
  • Knowledge of medication administration and safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift (8a–8p), including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented
  • Must be able to pass background screening and meet health requirements
