Job Responsibilities

• Ensures delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift.

• Serves as a resource to all staff within the facility regarding the quality of services provided.

• Provide direct resident care when required; Demonstrates the ability to administer medications and treatment timely and according to facility policy; Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act.

• Effectively manages nursing personnel on shift to limit use of overtime and agency personnel.

• Assesses the work performance of nursing staff as it relates to unit standards of care and goals.

• Conducts regular staff meetings on each shift and provides updates to DON.

Job Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LVN or RN program and licensed in the state of practice, required.

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

• Current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs; ALFs as required by state).

Assures that INS, State Department of Health, and Infusion Therapy Program standards of care and clinical practice are maintained through new hire orientation and annual competency assessments, as well as monitoring daily care provided by clinic staff. Responsible for the recruitment, retention, development, and ongoing evaluation of qualified staff. Minimum Requirements: Requires an associate’s degree in Nursing and minimum of 3 years of related clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience with IVs required. Requires a current, active, valid and unrestricted RN license to practice as healthcare professional within scope of license in applicable state(s) or territory of the United States. Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position. Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: Experience with IV insertion and maintenance strongly preferred.
