Responsibilities:

• Wound Care Management: Assess, monitor, track, and provide advanced wound care for residents, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with the clinical team.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to patient safety, clinical outcomes, and operational procedures. Implement best practices to minimize potential incidents and improve patient care quality and complete and track accident and incident reports.
• Staff Education & Training: Provide ongoing training and education to nursing staff regarding wound care and risk management protocols to ensure adherence to best practices.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current NY state licensure
• Certified Wound Care Nurse
• At least 3 years of experience in wound care management
• Experience in risk management, patient safety, or quality improvement is highly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards of care
