Location: FCI La Tuna – Anthony, Texas

Schedule: Part-Time | Up to 24 Hours Per Week | Monday–Friday

Start Date: Pending Federal Clearance (Anticipated July 2026)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for a federal correctional facility in Anthony, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to provide essential healthcare services within a structured and secure clinical environment. RNs will work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and health services staff to deliver quality patient care.

Position Overview

·         Provide nursing services to adults in custody within the Health Services Department

·         Work in outpatient clinic, medication administration lines, special housing units, and intake/discharge areas

·         Conduct sick call, triage assessments, and emergency response

·         Administer medications, vaccines, and ordered treatments

·         Document all encounters in the Bureau of Prisons Electronic Medical Record system

·         Assist providers with procedures and clinical support tasks

Schedule & Hours

·         Up to 24 hours per week

·         8–12 hour shifts

·         Hours between 5:30 AM – 10:00 PM

·         Monday through Friday

·         No federal holidays

·         Overtime not authorized

Qualifications

·         Active, valid, and unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state)

·         Minimum 1 year of professional RN experience (ER, Med-Surg, or correctional experience preferred)

·         Current BLS certification (AHA required)

·         Strong documentation and EMR proficiency

·         Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional environment

Security Requirements

Selected candidates must successfully complete a federal background investigation, fingerprinting, and credit screening prior to start. Clearance processing time varies.

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience. Federal contract position with structured schedule and professional work environment.
