Job Summary

As a PRN CMA, your main responsibility will be to assist in the administration of medications to our residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will be responsible for reviewing medication orders, preparing medications for administration, and documenting all medication administration. Your excellent communication skills will also enable you to educate our residents and their families on their medication regimen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the administration of medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Review medication orders and prepare medications for administration
• Document all medication administration accurately and thoroughly
• Educate residents and their families on their medication regimen
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
• Participate in employee training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) with a current certification
• 0 years of experience in the healthcare industry
• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling resident information

Critically listen and engage with patients throughout appointment, ensuring needs and/or changing in patient conditions are reported to PCP, specialists, and/or other clinical personnel. Perform all tasks with a hyper focus on patient experience, including processing of patient phone messages, including returning calls; routing calls to other team members as appropriate; calling patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician. Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and other first aid procedures; use CPR skills, when necessary, all under physician supervision. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and conduct accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times. Provide health coaching to a defined group of patients to support healthy lifestyle choices; follows up with coached patients via weekly calls. Required Skills/Abilities: Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic. Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively. Ability to work effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors and market leadership.
