Position Overview

As the ADON, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily clinical operations, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work side-by-side with the Director of Nursing to drive quality initiatives, mentor staff, and maintain excellence in resident care.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily operations of the nursing department alongside the DON
Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff to ensure strong clinical performance
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing team members
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Conduct audits, chart reviews, and quality assurance initiatives
Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team collaboration
Step in as acting DON as needed

Qualifications

Active, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey readiness
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

BSN preferred
Experience in infection control, staff development, or quality improvement
