Responsibilities:

·        Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental and psychosocial functioning possible on assigned unit.

·        Actively participate in the Quarterly Assurance process, including attending the Quality Assurance meetings and submission of required reports.

·        Make daily rounds on the assigned unit to ensure resident care needs and environmental standards are met.

·        Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures based on identified needs for assigned unit.

·        Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Qualifications: 

·        Prior experience managing staff is preferred.

·        Ability to work independently or part of a group.

·        Computer knowledge.

·        IV and CPR certified.

·        Previous long term care RN Leadership experience is required.

·        Minimum one year of experience working in a long term care/skilled nursing setting.

 

License:

·        Must have an active RN Registered Nurse license for the state of Connecticut
