About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Weekend Care Scheduler to join our growing homecare agency. This is a critical role ensuring that our clients receive consistent, high-quality care throughout the weekend. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our caregivers and clients, managing the schedule in real-time and troubleshooting any staffing changes with efficiency and a calm demeanor.

Primary Responsibilities

Active Schedule Management: Monitor and manage the weekend roster using Axis Care to ensure all shifts are covered and confirmed.
Call-Out & Emergency Response: Handle inbound calls regarding caregiver call-outs or client emergencies, promptly finding high-quality coverage to maintain continuity of care.
Communication: Act as the weekend bridge between clients, families, and our care team, providing clear and empathetic updates regarding any schedule changes.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all shift notes and scheduling changes are documented accurately in accordance with agency standards and state regulations.
Field Support Coordination: Work closely with our leadership team to ensure field staff have the information they need for successful weekend visits.

Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience in scheduling, dispatching, or administrative support (homecare or healthcare experience is a significant plus).
Tech Savvy: Proficiency with scheduling software (Axis Care preferred) and Google Workspace.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
Local Focus: Must be reliable and committed to supporting our local Northwest RI and Blackstone Valley MA service areas.
Reliability: As a weekend-specific role, consistent attendance on Saturdays and Sundays is essential.
