Position Overview

As a nurse at Forest Glen, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, resident-centered care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately

  • Monitor residents’ conditions and communicate changes to physicians and care teams

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

  • Supervise and support nursing assistants as needed

  • Promote a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for residents

  • Ensure compliance with Ohio nursing standards and facility policies

Qualifications

For LPN:

  • Current, valid LPN license in the State of Ohio

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program

For RN:

  • Current, valid RN license in the State of Ohio

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

For Both:

  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required

Job Details Physician Office | Kettering | Full-Time | First Shift Responsibilities & Requirements Under the supervision of the provider and/or practice manager, assists and delivers patient care duties, and provides administrative support throughout the practice. This position assists the provider in examination and treatment of patients, performing miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of provider. This position also interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. The position will be cross-trained to perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of delivery of patient care. Educational requirements: MA/CMA : Within 15 months from date of hire, continued employment will require successful attainment and retention of one of the following certification/registration CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT) or RMA (through ARMA) plus documented completion of a Medical Assisting program through an accredited institution of higher learning. May be hired with six months of experience as a STNA, but are not able to administer medication or enter Epic orders until acceptable credentialed medical assistant certification is obtained. LPN : Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license. Job requirements: Basic Life Support certification required.
