Responsibilities of Caregiver:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
  • Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure residents' safety and comfort.
  • Administer medications and assist with medication management under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including resident rooms, common areas, and dining areas.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and supportive atmosphere.

Caregiver Requirements:

  • Experience as caregiver or support staff is a plus.
  • Must be able to work in El Monte, CA.
  • Prior involvement in caregiving or support roles, ideally within environments such as homeless shelters or comparable settings.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication abilities, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals from diverse backgrounds, including the underserved population.
  • Capacity to effectively collaborate within a team dynamic and navigate challenging scenarios with sensitivity and tact.

Job Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least 2 years of health care experience, preferably in a care coordination, case management, community health, or a medical/behavioral health setting, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Valid and unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance for job related travel requirements.
