Right at Home is currently looking for weekend on call caregivers (other shifts also available). We typically split our weekend on call into day time and night time on call. Weekend on call runs from 5pm Friday to 9am Monday Morning.


Caregivers applying for on call must have previous experience caregiving reflected on their resume and they MUST be willing to drive to our entire coverage area. Caregivers must be able to use Hoyer lifts, sit to stand lifts, and provide personal and companion care. On Call caregivers DO NOT have the opportunity to turn down shifts during their on call period.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively and bring a positive attitude.

  • Assist clients with daily activities (IADLs).

  • Assist clients with personal care (ADLs).

  • Medication reminders.

  • Provide transportation if needed by client.

  • Prepare meals.

  • Provide companionship.

  • Perform light housekeeping.

Caregiver Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.

  • Ability to lift/move 50 lbs. independently.

  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

  • Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance with you listed as an insured driver.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Willingness to obtain a valid TB test and CPR certification.

  • At least one year of previous caregiving experience.

Caregiver Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a home care setting is a plus.

  • CNA or HHA certification

  • Fluency/Familiarity in other languages including Spanish, French, Polish, German, Russian, Tagalog etc. is a plus.

  • Pet-friendly is a plus.

  • Willingness to drive for up to an hour.

  • Comfortable driving in common weather conditions experienced in the Michiana area throughout the year.

  • Previous Home Care experience a plus.
