Administer sedatives, pain medications, and local anesthetics under physician supervision. Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels throughout procedures. Assist physicians during procedures by handling endoscopic equipment and maintaining a clean field. Collect and label tissue samples for laboratory analysis. Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring for complications and educating patients and families. Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopic equipment according to infection control protocols. Document patient care and procedure details accurately in electronic medical records (EMR). Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
