Operating Room Registered Nurse at Landmark Surgery Center

The Registered Nurse, operating room, provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.

Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Must have a current unrestricted RN license in the state.
1+ years of ASC or surgery experience
Current American heart BLS certification.

Consult with the physician/advanced practice provider or pharmacy to confirm medications prescribed. Oversee therapeutic injection of medication (subcutaneous or intramuscular). Monitor lab levels including consultation with physicians/advanced practice providers, clients, and clinical staff. Coordinate medication needs with pharmacies, clients/patients, and families, including the use of indigent drug programs. Monitor medication side-effects including the use of standardized evaluations. Monitor physician orders for treatment modifications requiring client/patient education.
