LPN Full-time

Seeking an LPN to be a part of our team in our beautiful SKILLED NURSING COMMUNITY. Full Time and Part time up to 40 hours per week including every other weekend. The LPN will be an essential support person in our nursing department assisting with the daily management of the residents’ nursing needs and oversight of direct care staff. The ideal candidate must have at least one to three years' experience managing the care needs of a senior population, be able to multi-task, have a team-oriented focus and experience providing care to individuals with dementia and their families. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities You provide direct patient care in a family medicine setting, assisting your provider by documenting the chief complaint and essential data such as height, weight, blood pressure, and head circumference. You maintain an even distribution of patients for the assigned nurse practitioner or pediatrician and keep exam rooms properly stocked with medical and educational materials. You assist patients to X-ray, lab, or the ED when needed, set up nebulizer treatments, and monitor patients. You are responsible for documenting in the medical record and completing school or camp forms. After consulting with the provider, you reinforce education and health information with parents, guardians, or patients. You answer a variety of medical questions or refer them to the doctor or nurse practitioner when necessary. You accurately record messages, follow identified protocols regarding health concerns or issues, and follow up with the provider as needed.
